 These
kits are designed to be worked in a single strand of cotton or silk.
They are pre-printed in a sepia ink that acts as a shadow when worked.
The aim is not to cover the printing but to add to it, giving it
body, colour and texture.
After the design has been embroidered those worked in cotton can
be stained,
this gives the piece a charming antique look.
Each kit contains Printed fabric, thread, needle, work and make up
instructions and staining hints if applicable.

Welcome to a new range of kits, “Silk, Beads and Crystals” This is the first four kits in what I hope to be many more. I have been teaching this form of embroidery with these kits this year at such venues as the Koala Convention.
This work looks extremely opulent and difficult to do, however it is very simple using only the most basic stitches. As the name would suggest the materials used are silk, beads, gold thread and crystals, all worked on a
pre printed ground fabric. |
